what did we miss: LA

i recently returned from LA this past sunday evening and i still miss it.
partially, thanksgiving break was amazing simply because it was a break away from school, having to work, being on the computer, getting no sleep...stressing out...
but thanksgiving break was also amazing because i was in LA. and because of who i was in LA with.

it was great to get away from NYC. i love new york and i love manhattan still and i think i'm still a city girl - but i have to say that my three semesters at parsons in the city have worn away some of the love for new york. maybe it's just that right now in my life the city is associated with stress. and unending movement.

and LA is only associated with holiday. and good food. and sunny sunny warm weather. (and disneyland, go karting, more good food, dogs, video games, ben and his family...)

so yes. i miss LA and i mostly wish i wasn't here in NY right now. but that's okay. i believe it's alright for me to be in love with more than one city even if it does mean that my heart belongs in some way to four.

images my own - it was also nice to pull out the dslr

what did we JOY

today the high temperature was 26 degrees celcius yesterday it was 23. it's been the most gorgeous spring weekend full of tank tops and dresses and people walking around in tshirts and shorts without even carrying a jacket. the good weather has me feeling really happy about myself and life in general. things are a lot more tolerable in sunny clear bright days.

so i didn't go out in a dress / skirt / tshirt etc etc. but i did go out in my "new" white addidas high tops. "new" in the sense that yesterday was the very first time i walked out wearing them even though i bought them early january this year. so it's been slightly over three months since the actual purchase....they practically shined and glowed in the sun.

(wheeeeee!)

take advantage of clear skies

gorgeous sunset at battery park, great timing

red door janice wanted us to take pictures in front of... hah

somehow the color on blogspot doesn't show up as amaaazing, but the color in this blue sky was unbelievable.

i love good weather. after having lived through the freezing winter here in nyc...and toronto..and philly...and bethlehem...i completely appreciate clear skies, bright sun and good days to walk all around the city in. it makes me feel so good inside.

on those days i could walk around forever.

is how i feel inside. it's true : )
